Description:
God appointed Moses to lead His people out of the bondage of Egypt. The Israelites—traveling after God after He led them out of Egypt—came to the desert of Sinai. Israel camped there at Sinai. God instructed them to obey and keep His covenant, for they would become a kingdom of priests and a holy nation for Him. He commanded them to remember the Sabbath Day as holy. The Lord insisted on abstinence of any work or business that day; the Israelites acknowledged that the seventh day was to be a day of rest. No work of man or beast.
