The book of Luke was written around AD63 for the Greeks who became converted Christians. Luke was a native of Antioch in Syria. He was said to be the only gentile writer of the Bible. He was a physician as well as a man of excellent education. He was a Greek deeply knowledgeable of Grecian culture. However, he was not an eyewitness of all of the events he writes about. He points out special healings performed by Jesus. There are many details of Jesus’ ministry that Luke points out.
Jesus will come and meet us at our level of need. You don’t always have to seek or call on Him. He’ll just show up. Jesus was born to meet us at our level of need, and He came to cure impure spirits. We need to keep Jesus in our hearts and start our day off with a word of prayer with Him and end the day in the same fashion.
