Near death and fatigued, Hagar sat just feet away from her son because she didn’t want to see him die.
As she sat there, she began to cry and feel sorrowful. There’s more behind her sobbing. Hagar wept
because she was a servant slave who became a convenient surrogate mother for Sarah. Hagar wept
because she was given to Abraham in an unsanctioned relationship. She wept because she was a victim
of Abraham and Sarah. 

Hagar is not the only mother sobbing today. There are mothers sobbing from loneliness, abandonment, 
bad marriages, disrespect, loss of a child, bad decisions, and being unmarried. But, mothers don’t you
weep, for God hears and sees you and your reward is in heaven.
