Angelic Intervention, Msg. 7
ABOUT THE BOOK OF MATTHEW
This book gives a good view of Matthew, who walked this earth with Jesus. Matthew (Levi), the son of Alpheus, was called by Jesus to become one of the 12 disciples that Jesus had chosen. Matthew was a tax collector, a publican. Written around AD 60, this caused him to be hated by the Jews.
MESSAGE:
Stones are important, historically. They were used for building of castles, pyramids, and temples. Large stones were also used for the closing of tombs. Stones denote strength.
When Jesus was buried in a tomb, Matthew asked who would roll the stone away? Since Jesus did not need the help of a celestial being, how is the angel a stone roller? I am reminded that when you are on your way about the business of the Lord, something happens. While the women with Jesus were on their way to the tomb, they saw where Jesus was placed. In this case, the angel did roll back the stone.
You are confronting all types of barriers today: Barriers of fear, lack of support, mental health issues, low self-esteem, poor stewardship, and more. But here’s the good news, do not be afraid. If God wills it, He will send a stone roller to remove the stones in your life.
