1 Kings 19:5-7 NIV
Angelic Intervention, Msg. 2
ABOUT THE BOOK OF 1 KINGS:
This book opens with the ending reign of David, onto Solomon, and the death of Jehoshaphat and the reign of Ahaziah of Israel. It brings together relations between the king, church, and the state. Jeremiah, the weeping prophet, is the author of this book.
MESSAGE:
Almost all of Israel had stopped worshiping Baal, the false God, and started worshiping God, our Father, because God's prophet, Elijah, asked the Lord to reveal Himself to the believers of Baal. And so it happened. This infuriated King Ahab and Jezebel, so they ordered Elijah to be executed. Becoming quite afraid, Elijah fled into the wilderness, stopped eating, and began willing himself to die. But on more than one occasion, angels came to encourage him to fight on.
Every now and then when you become faint and weary, angels come to revive you. When the road is rough, angels keep coming to strengthen you. They come to liberate you. When you feel defeated, angels keep coming to refocus you. Don’t give up!
