Description:
Jesus was preaching and teaching in Capernaum in Galilee. He began teaching through parables, earthly stories with heavenly meanings. When evening came, He asked His disciples to go with Him to the other side of the water. But a furious squall arose and the waves broke over the boat and swamped it.

Unbelief and fear caused the disciples to cry out! At some point in life, one may doubt his/her faith. But it’s dangerous to sink to the level to have any question as to Jesus’ concern for you. Though Christ was asleep in the storm, perhaps it was to try the faith of His disciples, or to pump them up and motivate them to pray, or their faith appeared to be weak though their prayers were strong. But just maybe every closed eye is not asleep, for He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
