The book of Psalm is one of the most notable of the sacred hymns, singing of the omnipresence of God. It is believed that David is the writer. David asked God to examine him; to search him because God was familiar with all his ways. David felt God had created his inner-most being and ordained all of his days. God protected him, always, even from his enemies.

We can learn from David. God alone is the one who can still the hearts of those of us who are troubled. He can bring peace. Moreover, we each need to do a self-examination and ask God to reset our minds.
