Central Passage
1 Peter 2:9 NIV
1 Peter 2:9 NIV
Description
Peter the apostle, was given the name Petros by God. Born around 1BC in Bethesda, Peter was Jewish and a fisherman from Galilee, before accepting Christ. He authored 1 and 2 Peter between AD 62-64 to the pilgrims encouraging hope for the future and instructions on how to deal with present trials. Peter was taught to be obedient to Jesus Christ.
Like Peter we, too, are blood washed of Christ. He gave us an inheritance that can never spoil or fade. Those who trust in Christ, will not be shamed of the gospel of Jesus. We are a chosen people, thankful to God who, himself, is thanksgiving.
