When two or three are the gathering of the name of Jesus, we gather “in” His name. Jesus is there, too. This is not a flip of the coin. This is a promise that has no expiration date. It is the holy Spirit, Emanual, meaning God with us. Understand that when we gather in His name, it’s about lining up spiritually. 

When we come together, in His name, we acknowledge His authority. Sometimes, we must tarry until He shows up. We do not need a crowd. I come to the garden alone. It’s me. It's me, oh Lord, standing in the need of prayer. Just as I am without one plea. I don’t need a crowd.
