Luke 1:14 NIV
Angelic Intervention, Msg. 5
ABOUT THE BOOK OF LUKE:
Luke was a native of Antioch in Syria. The only gentile writer of the Bible, he was a man of excellent education and deeply steeped in Greek culture. Luke had an eye-witness account of apostles available to Jesus. As a physician, he pointed out special healings performed by Jesus. He converted to Christianity and wrote the book around AD63
MESSAGE:
Sometimes you are praying a prayer that is not immediately answered by God. But He may answer it in years to come. God can use anything or anybody to accomplish His Will? He used Gabriel to speak to Zechariah’s longtime wish to have a baby, a son, who was John the Baptist. As a man, John baptized his cousin, Jesus.
According to Jewish history, Gabriel is just one of four angels that surrounds God’s throne along with Michael, Uriel, and Raphael. The angel Michael is placed on the right hand of God. Uriel is on His left hand, and Raphael is before Him. They are messengers of mercy, angels of grace, and messengers of love.
