- Luke 9:37-40 NIV
Description:
Luke, the only non-Gentile in the Bible, points out that Jesus expects us to believe and live out our faith.
After Jesus miraculously fed the multitudes from two fish and five loaves of bread, the father of the young boy who needed healing should have believed the power he witnessed when Jesus fed the masses. The scribes should have believed in the Old Testament prophecies and should have believed Jesus in context. And the disciples should have believed that they still had power to cast out demons and to heal using the ability Jesus had given them.
Faith implies to trust in Jesus, especially by what we have already seen and what we already know in Him.
