Paul wrote this book during his three-month stay in Corinth, in the year AD58. This is the sixth book in the chronology of his writing. It is addressed to the Christians in the world’s capital.

He helps us to understand that we resist change for a variety of reasons. Fear would probably be #1. Uncertainty, coupled with fear, can be dangerous. Not being in control--especially regarding the unknown--increases our fear and insecurity.

Paul shares a list of commands on how to develop a lifestyle of being set aside. We are different, a peculiar people. We are a royal priesthood. We declare, "For God I live. For God I die". We are to focus and wait with patience and prayer for His leadership and guidance.
